most of the teams around us have 2 games in hand and Southampton have 3...so i'm not sure we'll finish top half quite yet!

Just shows tight it is in this league when 1 win takes a club just above the relegation zone to the top half of the table, only 2 point behind WBA, another 2 wins and we could quite feasibly finish 8th, only 1 place behind last seasons finish………….

Doubt we will as a number of clubs have 2 or 3 games in hand over us, so 10th may be more realistic.

Didn't even let it come down to Swansea vs Everton. We FINALLY showed up big at home in a big situation.

Well played West Ham.

as for the striker problem, it goes back 2 years? at least 3 transfer windows filled with loans & cheap options.
god knows how many points it has cost us.

doesnt it list DS as a 'director of football' in the clubs accounts?

Re: 15th, 39 pts and 3 tough games left
It is a fucking disgrace we are in this position, this has been an abject shambles of a season from start to finish.
And we are sowing the seeds (weeds) of an equally dreadful season next year.
Captain who's legs have gone
Star player who wants to engineer a transfer
Manager who doesn't have the full support of the board
Unbalanced squad
No strikers worthy of the name
At least at the start of last year we knew who our first choice keeper and left back were, now we don't
Substantial changes need to be made, if we go backwards any more next season it will out of the division

Any chance Sakho will be fit for Friday?

Mind you Bilic will probably till start with Calleri

Boleyn 8420 - We have scraped draws against Everton, Sunderland and Stoke in that context just about every team in the premiership have become a problem when we are looking for a win!

We are not scoring but fortunately we are looking stronger at the back, just hope AC or Sakho are fully fit for two or three of the last games. Saw somewhere (times?) that Bilic would consider AC against the spuds for up to 45 minutes, in the circumstances it might be better to try and get him fully fit for the other games.

If that fucking prat Randolph could catch or use his brain and punch the fucking ball then we'd beaten Sunderland and all this shit is over.

Not blaming him for the whole season though....

Make you right again Will.

Would love a chat with Sullivan. I am sure he wants "next level" but does he accept that he needs to build something for the long term and lower expectations to something along those lines. I can wait another 10 years assuming the grim reaper keeps at bay because I have seen no progress in 60 years,

Sullivan needs to realise that being smart is sometimes about getting help and like any good leader its about:

1) Getting the resources ( money etc) a manager or DOF and manager need year on year
2) Implementing a process that is about continuous improvement
3) Offering ideas and / or eliciting ideas
4) ... the big one...... GETTING THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY !!!

I fear Sullivan's weak psychology, the "Little man" complex, means he has to be a commander not a leader. He does not know what he does not know and its all about control. Until that changes it will be short termism and lurching from one crisis to another or the pendulum effect after trying one thing and then doing the opposite ( young players, freebies, loans followed by old experienced prem players and vica versa).

I am through past experience convinced everything is about to implode once more and will be pleasantly surprised if we stay up. The script is written and the perennial fall guys are about to play the part they are best at playing.

Disaster awaits with relegation unless Everton can do us a favour and not lose at Swansea.

Admittedly like I say, I am pessimistic in the extreme but history has shown this to be a sound way of thinking. :-(

cant believe with 3 tough games left we're not mathematically safe

what a fucking mess of a season

Re: 15th, 39 pts and 3 tough games left
All West ham need to do is to boot the ball long and defend from the middle to the back, if they can do that they have a chance of a draw against both Spuds and The Poo it will all be about messing the game up and giving everything for the cause.
I do not fancy us trying to play it The West Ham way, as that in my mind will not work and could get us tonked, lets be honest Bilic has been rather negative throughout this season so he needs to sort of carry on in that frame of mind our players have been sound defensively so they can carry on that way, and hope we can snatch something on the counter.

Re: 15th, 39 pts and 3 tough games left
Hang on I wasn't actually saying we would get relegated because I doubt that we will. It is concerning how badly we have failed in Sullivan's stated aim for top 6 wasn't it?

We have not moved forward since BFS really after £millions spent and 60,000 gates. The club is badly run in parts. Basically it is soundly administered under Lady Brady but having a Chairman of a £150m turnover company playing real life FM17 just cannot be right. Especially because he's dreadful at it.

Bilic has to go unless the board are accepting that we are at the natural level of WH. If Sullivan wants top 6 then he needs to put his fucking big wallet where his great big mouth is...

Re: 15th, 39 pts and 3 tough games left
Seen as we conceded two against and couldn't beat SUNDERLAND the other week, I wouldn't be banking on us beating Burnley away. However if it comes down to it they might be safe by then.

If it's a winner stays up scenario then I don't know if we've got the heart for the battle.

Hopefully Swansea fail to beat Everton and render all of this academic.
